Happy Birthday to Me.

You know, I always thought that turning 30 would be a real pivotal day for me.   Well, it wasn't. I feel the same.  Maybe 32 will be different...

Derrick, my fantastic hubby, surprised me on Saturday and sent me to the Kura Door.  Nothing better than a few hours of "me" time.

I had THIS done (no, that is NOT me in the photo)

as well as a massage and pedicure.

Thanks, D Man!

On my actual birthday, we kept things pretty low key.  I have come down with an awful cough and feel like crap.  So we invited family over for a caramel ice cream cake from Maggie Moos.
Sorry if any family catches this dreaded cough.  Derrick also posted the infamous "Happy Birthday, Jen.  Your my Favorite Wife" sign in front of our house.  Have I mentioned that we live on the corner of a busy street?  That guy knows how to keep me laughing, that's for sure.

Hey! Happy Birthday! We have the same ideas of celebrating. I think I'll send my hubby to your post when my day rolls around. I'm glad to know there were no crazy disasters for the big 30. I wonder if I'll wake up that morning and my boobs will fall to my ankles or my roots will have turned gray in my sleep.
Funny thing...I remember in Jr. High on our friends birthday's ...you would give them a box of their favorite cereal (and I think sometimes milk?) I loved it so much...now my kids do it! Thanks for that :)

Happy Birthday. I am glad to here that 30 isn't as bad as you thought it would be. The thought of exiting the 20's is a little scary.

So did you do a special bath thing at the spa? I am a little dumb when it comes to what you can do at spas. I want to know a little more so I can tell my hubby to do something like that for me too.

HAPYY BIRTHDAY. You share a birthday with my oldest daughter. She just turned 9 today.

Looks like a great birthday. I'm glad to know that 30 doesn't feel any different. I'm headed there soon. I think I'm in denial, mostly. I just can't figure out how I got to 29 1/2.

Yay, Happy Birthday! I was thinking about you. Glad to hear you had a nice time at the spa and had a good time. And I'm really glad to hear turning 30 isn't life changing (we're not too far behind you!). And I totally miss the "You're my favorite wife sign"....
