Hi Everyone,
I'm getting together with the rest of the Primary Presidency in my ward to brainstorm ideas for next year, and wanted to get feedback from you about anything that has worked out successfully in your wards.
*Activities
*Primary Room Decorations (our ward is in charge this year)
*Goals and Incentives (this year, all the kids who memorized the Articles of Faith got to have a popcorn party)
*Ideas to spotlight the children
Let me know some of your ideas!! Come on, don't be shy! And Thank You in advance!

I'm sorry Jen, I have no ideas for you. I've only ever been in Young Womens and Relief Society. I don't have a new calling in our ward yet (now look I've just jinxed myself, they will call me to primary!) Goodluck, I hope you were to get some ideas.
ACTIVITIES - Around Mother's Day, the kids made church bags for their moms: cheap canvas bags from the craft store or oriental trading, and they put their handprints on the bag w/ craft paint, then signed their name by their handprint. SO CUTE! The moms loved them. Families w/ multiple kids put their handprints on ONE BAG, together.
DECORATIONS - Do you have a bulletin board in the room? We did the bulletin board to match the theme each month, using pictures from the Friend, printed off the theme, or articles of faith, etc.
SPOTLIGHT - We had a questionnaire for the parents to fill out. THE KIDS LOVED HEARING THE ANSWERS! I was surprised how much they loved hearing about each other. They especially loved hearing the answer to "A funny story about (child)." Other questions were: nickname, favorite tv show/movie, favorite vacation, favorite food (you'd be surprised at the weird foods they love), pets, etc.
Have fun, Jen!
I was in Primary for a while when we first moved to Michigan. We had a really fun Primary Activity Day around Christmas where each child was asked to bring wrapped items such as toothpaste, deodrant, canned or boxed goods, socks, etc for the missionaries. There we had the kids make decorations and decorate little Christmas trees and then had the missionaries come and presented them with the trees (we had Elders and Sisters) and the presents. The kids loved it and the missionaries really appreciated it! When I think of some more ideas we've used, I'll email ya. I've been on your blog a ton listening to your music, hope you don't mind.
